I was very much looking forward to this film, based on how much I enjoyed the Mandalorian TV series. Din Djarin’s character is one of the most interesting and complex in Star Wars, in my opinion. And of course, Grogu… The film is fun. It’s a little adventure. There are moments that are sweet and sentimental, but the story itself doesn’t really add anything to the series or to the Canon. It is all “relationship development,” so to speak. This one is purely for the fans and certainly doesn’t stand alone, but I still loved every moment. I especially liked the big arena fight and the fun Easter eggs (Zeb!).
